This is my first blog post! If you’re reading this I’d like to thank you for stopping by. This blog is a companion to my YouTube channel, Break Tech.

That channel, and this blog, are all about learning to code and what you should do with those skills once you’ve developed them. You may want to find a job and code full time. You might want to freelance and supplement your regular full time income. Or you might want to develop your own sites or products and try to make a living from those. I’m not exactly sure where this journey is going to take me, so I’m going to try all those things and write about the process here as I go.

If you have a specific topic you’d like me to jump into, or a question you’d like to ask please don’t hesitate to reach out. I can be found here on DouglasBerg.com.

This is a test of the code-highlighting available from the Jekyll static site generator, which I’m testing out by creating this blog. Check back here for more on how this blog was created and incorporated into my existing site.
